Status/الوضع is recruiting an Assistant Producer for the show. The assistant producer will be responsible for assisting in cleaning and cutting audio and supporting all steps of the post-production process. The candidate will work with the Executive and Associate Producer. He/she will be an integral component in the development of Status, as well as diversifying and strengthening its partnerships and coverage.
Qualifications:
- Audio editing experience
- Mac/Apple user
- Knowledge of contemporary Middle East
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Detail-oriented
- BA degree in relevant field
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Experience working on production teams to create multi-media products
- Flexible hours

Status/الوضع is an evolving, critical, collaborative, and independent monthly Audio Journal combining analysis, reporting, and satire. It features interviews/conversations, on-the-scene reports, reviews, informed commentary, and readings. Interviews from the region and beyond feature activists, journalists, scholars, and citizens.
Status addresses salient matters in the political, economic, and social spheres, academia and the media. Beyond addressing events and developments, a distinct flavor of this Journal is its attention to cultural production and the various processes of knowledge production and information dissemination for public consumption, via social or traditional media.
